Ad-Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General
The Ad-Hoc Committee of the Secretary General offers the most challenging and unique committee experience of HopMUNC III. The committee topic will remain a secret until the beginning of the first committee session, at which point the background guide will be released and delegates will enter into debate and committee procedure without preparation. Success will be predicated upon having a diverse skillset, employing practical yet creative solutions, and a capacity to engage in high-caliber debate. To find yourself in the Ad-Hoc is to find yourself amidst mysteries unknown and challenges yet to be seen. Best of luck, delegates.
Sasha Kapur
Chair
Sasha is in her second year at Johns Hopkins University where she studies Political Science and Public Health Studies. This is her second time chairing a crisis committee at HopMUNC, but her first time with an ad-hoc. Typically she competes in General Assembly committees, but she's looking forward to watching the chaos unfold! Outside of MUN she is on the Blue Jay Bhangra dance team and enjoys writing for the Undergraduate Law Review. When she has time to herself she spends it binging shows on Hulu, trying new food and boba spots, or FaceTiming her dog that she couldn't bring to Hopkins with her. If you have any questions on HopMUNC, want DC recs, or anything else, reach out at skapur7@jh.edu
Manasi Vegesna
Crisis Director
Manasi Vegesna is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Public Health, with a minor in Writing Seminars. Having helped with last year's HopMUNC, she is thrilled to chair this year as well. She is from Chandler, Arizona (yes, it's hot there!) and loves dancing, reading, baking, and watching shows. Manasi also enjoys discovering new cafes and brunch spots. If you have any amazing book or food recommendations, feel free to contact her at mvegesn2@jh.edu!
